Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was with her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. The actress is fluent in French, German and English. Her mother is a professional instrument player. The father of the family is an actor as well as a theatre instructor at one of Romania's top theater schools. She received the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was named European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She taught of the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu, Iasi for the duration of four years. bAnamaria is an Romanian Actress born 01 April 1978, Iasi Romania. A performer with Romanian descent Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she took home the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her first film, she is recognized for her performance in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 week si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 Days) by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Also, she appeared as a child in the film of Francis Ford Coppola, Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in the BBC miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014), she was Irma she was a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
